It means it can take two different SIM card so you can have two different phone numbers on one phone. For instance, your personal number and your work number.

it allows you to have to service providers which excludes Sprint and Verizon. I believe some European and Asian countries have that option with unlocked phones. Sprint has only one sim cart slot
