“I’m interested to use this speaker in a karaoke setup. If I have my tv connected through optical and then also a mic hooked up through the mic port, will it mix the sounds together?”

They don't mix. I had to call and talk to someone with LG and they gave me the run around until finally confirming there is no way the speaker will connect to TV or bluetooth and the microphone at the same time, but they advertise it as a karaoke system! It's not. I bought it for the same reason only to find out that I can only hear myself on the mic or the music, never both at once. What a crappy advertisement. That isn't karaoke at all!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I pared mine with my LG TV via Bluetooth. We can now go to Karaoke YouTube and plug in one microphone manually and it worked great. I also tried using it with a wireless mixer using two mics and it worked great too. Now we have two wireless mics mixed together!! Everyone at the party loved it.
