It has to be a prefect fit in order for the case to work. If it's not a prefect fit the phone could create a pocket, you may not be able to see, and case water to leak in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My case did not line up correctly or did not appear to seal fully. I took it to Apple Store and they inspected it and inside the case the inside was bent. They replaced it and put the broken one back up on the wall. I would NOT trust it in water.. It obviously would protect it better than any other case for accidents. I wouldn't submerge it ever. Especially knowing they are willing to put a broken one back up for resale. THe reason why they tell you to test it, is because they know there is a chance it won't protect your cell. It's not 100%, especially if it's noticeable that it does not seal all the way correctly. Even my new replacement isn't sealed all the way around.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would be very worried to submerge in water. Most likely it will go in. Good for rain protection and splashes but not under
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dropped the IPhone 6S with pink Lifeproof case while on vacation in the pool. Immediately got it out with no water entry at all! Worked at least short term.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If not completely sealed it will leak water. Test the case.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Are you sure you have snapped the case together fully all the way around the edges of the case?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had this problem about 3 times and although I tested the case (it fit together perfectly without the phone in it) and it didn't leak, once I put my phone in it the case let water in. I contacted life proof about this and they sent me a replacement each time and I received it within a week, after this happened about 3 times I left a bad review with life proof and someone from the company contacted me about it, when I told her I had the problem once more she overnighted me yet another case and this time it worked perfectly fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You should test the case as specified in the instructions. There is a small rubber seal around the edge. If this was not put in properly you will have a crease in it and it will not seal and will not be water proof. Check the seal and insure it is installed correctly before trusting the water proof reliability
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I agree about the manufacturer guaranteeing the case but I would not use one that does not close on all areas around the phone completely.
