QuestionDo i need an internet provider?So i am looking for a wireless router that i can use and pay for each month without the hassle of needing a internet provider, I want to be able to purchase this product and use it immediately, so does this product have what i want?

QuestionDoes this need to connect to your existing internet by ethernet or can it be wireless? I want to use this to have my desktop in my room that does not have an ethernet port, will this device work for that?

- Answer Hi, Alex. The Linksys SE1500 doesn't have a wireless capability and needs to be connected to a router via Ethernet. If your desktop computer is wireless capable and your wireless network doesn't reach your room, you may consider getting a range extender.

QuestionCan multiple devices use the internet via the switch?If I were to hook up my PS4, PS3, PC, etc. to the switch, would I be able to use the internet on more than one device at a time?

QuestionI have the need for two Ethernet connections in a room with only one cable. One connection for a Roku device and one for Directv DVR, Now, I am unplugging and changing when I want to use the other TV device. Will this work for my needs?

- Answer Yes. I have 2 computers & a magicJack (VoIP) phone but my modem has just one outlet. All 3 devices are plugged in to the switch, then it to the computer & everything works just fine. And of course there's still an open port I could plug another device into -- comes in handy when a friend of mine stops by with his laptop 'cause I don't have or want Wi-Fi.

- Answer Hi, Curly. The Linksys SE1500 doesn't support wireless connectivity and it is only designed for wired connection.

- Answer You shouldn't have any issues. Think of this switch as one of those adapters that turn one electrical outlet into 2 or 3. All it does is turn one Ethernet port into four; all devices connected to it will receive DHCP and other data directly from your Motorola modem.
