Q: QuestionI'm 74 years old & a novice at this so please excuse me if my questions are silly. I have windows 10 on a laptop, will this work to connect to the internet & do I just plug it into the side of the laptop without having to do anything else? Thank you.

• A:Answer Hi there. The Linksys AE6000 Wireless adapter has only been tested to work with Windows XP up to Windows 8. We suggest that you check out the Linksys WUSB6300 instead. This wireless adapter supports computers running on Windows 10. It also features a setup wizard for quick installation. Lastly, please note that our wireless USB adapters still need to be connected to an Internet source (a router) for it work.

• A:Answer It may dependent upon the brand of blue-ray player. Most have a WiFi adapter built-in now. A couple years ago some brands and models required a separate USB wireless dongle similar to this Linksys item. You should contact the customer support for your brand of Blu-ray player first and determine if any wireless USB adapter will work in the USB port of your player. They may specify only their brand as Toshiba used to do. Samsung may also specify only their brand of USB dongle. Also note that older players will have only a USB 2.0 port, while the latest models will be equipped with the the newer and faster USB 3.0 port. Good luck!
