• If your att router is also a modem then no. If it is just a wireless router then yes.

• If you have a separate Modem you certainly can and it'll be a very easy task, if you have a one piece unit look at the back of your device that you have and you should see a yellow input slot & that you can use to connect this router to ! Keep in mind you will have to sign out of your old wireless router & sign in to the New Wireless Router Name that you are going to have with this New Router. Lastly make sure the you first download the Linksys App it'll make it a very easy job to connect & setup.

• You will still need a modem but yes you can upgrade to this wireless device. I purchased a SURFBoard SB6190 Modem. I have a 4 bedroom 2 story house with basement and get excellent coverage.
