How are you testing the speed? Sounds like you have cable and not a fiber connection. Speed testing sites are never accurate. Here is the proof connect your phone to wifi download the speed test tool. You will see the phone shows better results. Your speed is accurate to the modem. Not to the rest of your devices. If you had fiber the speed is accurate to the throughput limits of your router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These are good router for your basic in home DSL or cable providers, with the higher packages hitting homes now, to see max bandwith, you're going to have to go to a beefier router. The Asus RT-AC66R which BB also carries gave me what my modem could. They're not as cheap, but man they're work horses!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have never seen this router throttle down. Usually its the ISP that is doing the control of the throttle. If you are using the gigabit ports with a gigabit ethernet card on your PC, you should be able to run the 100+mbps. I have known ISPs that will sense downloads that are large and do an initial burst of the max speed and then throttle down after about 30 secs.
