- Answer Hi, Bill. Choosing the between Tri-band and Dual-band will depend on your network environment and the area you wish for the Wi-Fi to cover. A single Dual-band Velop node can cover up to up to 1500 sq ft while a single Tri-band node has up to 2,000 sq ft of Wi-Fi range.

- Answer That should be fine, Navy4you99. You can run up to around 300 feet long CAT6 cable.

- Answer You can add it. The app will make you choose which way you want to go. Personally, I went with a cheap modem and I added this devise and was still faster thank the actual wifi/modem combo

- Answer Yes, it works perfect on the ATT DSL network I have it running on today. Getting about 45mb download and 11mb upload. Speed wise it is not as good as the other cable network I have used these mesh devices on but it is a solid, dependable wireless network. The mesh nodes fixed numerous brownout issues I had before using a standard wireless router.

QuestionAfter setting up the nodes. And Wi-Fi is being set up on the devices will the devices connect to the closest node or is there a way you have to select a specific node?

- Answer Most devices such as your smart phone or laptop will connect to the optimal node given that there is solely one wireless point available when searching wifi networks. Although, I have found that my Amazon Echo can pick up the distinct channels of the nodes and will connect to one specific node, which is strange.

QuestionDon't know what version of bluetooth Velop uses, but have a USB in use for bluetooth dongle for my fitbit to sync with software on the desktop. Is there a way to use the bluetooth in the nodes to sync with the fitbit and not have to use the dongle

QuestionWith using this mesh system, do you loss in internet bandwidth or speeds? I am looking to use this as a extender of sorts and game with it. My router puts out 350mbps WiFi and want to get at least near that.

- Answer I was only getting about 90 mbps, now getting around 110, the app has a build in speed check. It covers my entire house and speeds are equal throughout.

- Answer You could use it to replace your router, but not the modem. This is a supplement to your router, if you have an all in one router/modem. You can still connect to the old router while connecting to this system if you still have it connected or are using an all in one unit. This will not give better speeds or bandwidth, but better, stronger connectivity.

- Answer Yes, Jason. They’re actually the same as WHW01 is the base model of WHW0101. The 01 digits added just indicates the number of nodes.

- Answer Hi, ZMann. Depending on the distance of the barn. Adding another Velop WHW01 node can extend Wi-Fi coverage of up to 1,500 sq. ft.

- Answer Hi. Our Mesh and non-Mesh smart Wi-Fi routers will only replace your regular router. They require a cable modem provisioned by an ISP to work.
