Sherbear... There are a few downsides to applying this liquid glass to optical lenses. Most glasses today are designed and sold with a hydrophilic coating which prevents fogging. With this being said, our liquid glass solution may disrupt that hydrophilic coating from working. Secondly, most glasses today are not actually glass they're polycarbonate plastic. Our solution is designed to travel deep within the microscopic cracks of a glass surface. Polycarbonate lenses have different properties and don't allow SiO2 to properly travel deep into the surface. I hope this message provided you with the answer you were looking for. Thank you for reaching out and we hope you have a great rest of the day! -Liquipel
