  • Questionwhat is meant by "prepaid"? what are monthly rates?(DO NOT CARE ABOUT TEXTING)

    Asked by sophie.

    • Answer You don't have to pay the $3 monthly charge for texting - I opted out of that. But if you send &/or receive texts, you will be charged $0.10 for each one. I'm okay with that since I only get texts very rarely. Prepaid just means your monthly phone bill is paid through a credit card or your bank account. You don't pay a bill yourself but you will get a monthly invoice notice. It's charged to a credit card or withdrawn from your bank account. One thing I found out about after I bought my phone is I'm charged taxes each month for state and local which adds about $7.00 extra to my phone bill. :(

  • QuestionHow much are prepaid cards?

    Asked by rshabby.

    • Answer If you mean prepaid cards to use with the Jitterbug Smart2 phones, it does not work that way. You pay for your phone usage monthly by either having the fees withdrawn from a bank account or debit card or applied to a credit card.
