Hi John, the G305 uses 1 AA battery. The mouse will come with one upon purchase.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Two things that are notable with this mouse purchase. One, it came with a quality (Duracell) AA battery. I can't remember the last time, if ever, that I bought something that had batteries included. Secondly, according to the specs, it should last for 250 hours before needing to be replaced. And, additionally, it powers down seconds after you walk away. Personally, I like the simplicity of using a battery rather than the rechargeable via USB bluetooth version. I know you'll be happy with this mouse. Logitech is a good, and solid, company that makes a great product. This mouse replaces an older, less expensive, Logitech mouse that lasted for a very long time. I only replaced it with this one because the scroll wheel died. As a gamer, I used that wheel all the time, and can't complain about the longevity of the device. The product is great, and the price is fair. I'd pull the trigger on this one all day long.
