No this one doesn't require any updates use it on my acer all the time
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine worked right out of the box. I’ve used them with my switch, my PlayStation 4 and also my Mac. So far, no issues with connecting. They do come with a dongle that you can plug into anything with USB but they also pick up Bluetooth and like I said no problems
