No it does not use batteries, it comes with a charger. The battery without RGB is about 60 hours and with is about 35

You can use the included micro USB cord to recharge it and still be able to continue playing. Another great option to consider is Logitech's PowerPlay gaming pad which allows you to use your G703 continuously.
