This is a fairly simple headset, there is no "on" or "off" (unless you count the Mute button). It's either connected to your computer or it isn't. As for saving audio in a particular file format, that's a matter of using software that supports the file type you're interested in. This is simply a generic audio input device for your computer.

The H390 Wired USB Noise-Cancelling On-Ear Headset doesn't have an On/Off switch since it is wired, so it will always be on when connected. If you're asking how to mute yourself during calls, then simply press the button in the middle of the remote located on the headset cord. In regards to how do you record your voice into a file, that would depend on the software you use on your PC, but you could record yourself using the Windows Voice Recorder in example. - Mathieu from Logitech
