It was mad to not be able to replace the battery. It can be done. You have to take the remote apart. Start by removing the screws from the bottom of remote behind programming door. You can then slide the bottom off. You then separate the top and bottom to get to the battery. Get the number off the batter and look on line for it. Are you sure it is the battery and not your charger causing your issue?
