The Logitech K740 wired keyboard does not have a battery. It is powered by your computer's usb port. Is the brightness adjustment key not working? It is located on the the upper right hand side of the keyboard. You can press the button multiple times to adjust brightness or turn off the backlight. There are three levels of brightness. I attached a the page from the owners manual and a photo of my keyboard so that you can see where it is located. If this does not work, try unplugging and plugging the keyboard into a different usb port. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No battery. Did you click the top right key of the lightbulb? I turns lamination off/on and controls brightness.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have the USB version, it does not have a battery, it receives it's power through the USB cord. The Bluetooth version does require a battery.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no battery. Power comes from the USB connection. If you can't get the keys to illuminate by pressing the key with the lightbulb icon in the upper right-hand corner of the keyboard, I would have to assume that something has failed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No battery. In the upper right hand corner of the keyboard there is a little light bulb icon. Have you tried pressing it just to make sure you haven't accidentally lowered your illumination to the point that you turned it off. Besides off, there are three illumination settings. Hope this helps. If the icon doesn't work for you, the unit may be defective.
