- Answer keyboard does not have a USB port to attach a cabled or wireless mouse fob, if that is what you are asking. I have a wireless Bluetooth mouse and this logitech keyboard and no issues between the two

QuestionIs this keyboard a considered a silent/quiet keyboard? I try to avoid Amazon when possible. However they have many keyboards that specifically say silent/quiet on in their descriptions for a lower price. Hopefully this is considered quiet. Thanks

- Answer I do not know what they officially classify this thing as...but I can tell you that it is very quiet to type on. I personally cannot handle a keyboard that is all "clicky" with every key press. This is very quiet and the responsiveness is wonderful. I have started buying these for the people in my office whenever they need replacements rather than the wireless "combo" I was buying.

QuestionDo number lock and capital lock light up when turned on ?

- Answer The key itself is only lit if you have the keyboard illuminated but there is an indicator light on the bottom right of the keyboard if Caps Lock or Num Lock is on.

QuestionI cannot get this keyboard to work on either of the 2 macs we have. When I press the "q", hq pops up. When I press "m", m=8 pops up. When I press "r", trz pops up. Strange "shortcuts" or something. Anyone have advice. We are going crazy.

- Answer Check your device keyboard settings. You can use "Logitech Setpoint" software, for keyboard customization. There are a wide variety of Logitech keyboards which are designed specifically for Mac, with the proper key commands, which you may prefer. QuestionCan multimedia keys be turned off? Can function keys F1-F12 be accessed without using another key? (The keyboard which came with my computer has media keys which forces you to use "fn" to access the F1-F12 keys!)

- Answer To use the enhanced media functions (orange icons) to control your music, you DO have to press the FN key and the F-Key you want to use simultaneously. However, in the software settings, you can invert the FN mode if you prefer to access directly the enhanced functions without having to press the FN key. You can download the Setpoint software from Logitech. However, the volume control keys are separate keys over to the top right. I use these a lot to immediately mute sound if I get a call while listening to music. The f-keys are slightly smaller than the other keys but there is enough space between them that there is no problem accidentally hitting them. You will love this keyboard but I do suggest spending less than $20 to get one of the custom keyboard covers by Viziflex Seels for it. I trashed 2 of these keyboards by spilling fluid before I learned my lesson. At first you will think the cover is a piece of garbage but within a few days it completely molds itself to the keys and typing is great. Also know that if one of the keys is removed it is almost impossible to put it back on. Another reason for the cover so that trash does not get under the keys. With the cover I can wipe it down with water and not worry about damaging the keyboard. I would not suggest using a cleaner or alcohol on the cover because it is made of latex so it might make it stretch.

- Answer Actually, I use a slip cover designed for a laptop. On business trips, I purchased a leather portfolio notebook style zipper cover. I put in the tablet, the keyboard and notepad. Works great.

- Answer Just checked with Logitech support. 920-000914 is the number used for inventory but 820-005616 is the keyboard part number. He checked my serial number and it was manufactured in May of this year.

- Answer I bought our keyboard separately, but Logitech makes a couple of good mice, and I use those, too. But you can use just about ANY mouse with this kepboard.

- Answer I was referring to the mechanical switch. Are the key switches cherry red? brown, black, blue, etc. All keyboards have one of these types which determines the feel and functionality of the keys
