The lamps let you know if you have a natural light source present. The happy face = Yes, there's natural light. The sad face = No, you don't have a natural light source.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When the 'Lamp' button is pressed, the 'Smiley' face light indicator will lit up green if there is ample light on the keyboard (to charge the solar cells). However, if there is not enough light on the keyboard, the 'Sad' face light indicator will lit up red.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Press the key to launch the "solar app" on your computer to see how your solar powered battery is doing. Similarly, the lamps light up on the keyboard itself with either the :-) are the :-( to let you know how your power is doing. The solar cells work quite well and I've never had a problem keeping my keyboard powered in a moderately lit room.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you're talking about the key and and LED lights above the calculator pad, you use those to test and see if the light your keyboard is getting is enough to keep it going. Push the key with the circle with rays coming off of it and either the green LED to the right lights up briefly, meaning it's getting enough light, or the red LED lights up briefly, meaning not enough light. I only check it once in a while if the room is getting darker, etc... like in the evening. Then I just turn on my desk lamp and continue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you press the lamp button and the green LED next to the smiley face lights up, the solar cells have enough light. If the red LED lights up the solar cells aren't able to charge the keyboard. Works in low light for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When you press the button, the lights tell you if the keyboard is getting enough light to charge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think you're referring to the keyboard power indicator.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think I know what you're asking... The lamp button when pushed will either light the smiley face or the sad face. Smiley and a green light mean the keyboard has enough light to charge. The sad face and a red light means it needs more light.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. One is to activate the app for the current amount of light currently charging and also how much reserve battery power remains. The on/off switch just turns off the unit, similar to a switch on the bottom of a laptop mouse. I leave it on when not is use and it doesn't drain the battery at all.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is to let you know if the keyboard is charged or needs a little juice. It will show green if it is charged up enough and red if not. If you see it red, just hold it up to a light or set it in sunlight for about 5 minutes (that is what I did) and you should be back to green. Hope that helps.
