The battery compartment cover is very tightly in place. I found that the easiest thing to do is to hold the keyboard upside down so that the battery compartment is at the top, get my fingernails into the crack at the top of the cover and slide it firmly downwards. The little divot in the cover to do this with is fairly useless. Having said that, who wants a loose, floppy battery cover anyway?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The battery cover does not open easily. Turn the keyboard upside down with the battery compartment at the "top" or away from you. Put a few fingers on each side of the indent, press down and pull towards you. It will then open. It can be almost as difficult to close. I found it easiest to do by pressing down with several fingers on each side of the indent, and using my thumbnails to push the cover back to the "top" or away from you. You will hear a click when it is in place.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This was tricky! The underside compartment is where the batteries are, and also the unifying receiver if you need it (not using bluetooth, for example). To open the compartment door, here's what I do. First, turn the keyboard over (keys down) with the tablet stand part farther from you. Using your fingertips (not thumbs), dig your fingernails into the crack between the white rubber strip on the edge of the keyboard and the black plastic of the compartment door. Digging your fingernails in, pull straight back toward you on the compartment door, and it will release. It's really not hard once you know the trick. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Closing the door securely was my problem. Good advice above, but I'll add that it helped to use something (stiffer than my fingernail like a letter opener) in the space between the door and the shell to help push the door into place, all while using fingers on each side to push the whole thing down & forward. You'll know when it's in, as there will be a clear "snap". Note that the forward (outer?) side of the door winds up slightly under the lip of the white edging material.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I used a coin instead of fingernails between white section and battery compartment door
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.DON’T LOOSE THE BATTERY COVER!!! It’s comes off easily and there is no replacement! :’(
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's pretty hard to get open and closed. I believe I broke mine. I used tape to keep it closed and rest the whole thing on a little angle, with pressure on the battery door,.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Warning - SLIDE first then open. Don't make my mistake of thinking it flips open first. Broke the two plastic parts, now it won't close properly. Using masking tape :( - day one of use! LOL
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi. my finger nails are not much good. so I used a knife to release the clip on the side and slid it along the side to unlock the piece on the side which was holding it down. The battery light seemed to go out so I will have to find out if it works tomorrow.
