It's bluetooth based, so it would go theoretically up to about 33ft. I used this for my gaming PC while I had it set up in my media room. I was about 10ft between the keyboard and dongle with no issues, so I can vouch for that much.

Just get product protection because I have gone through many of them. They seem to start acting up a few months in. Technically I have not 100% ruled out there being a problem somehow in mobo internal paths since all my experience with it has been on the same computer but I think it is unlikely, though I have known people who have had zero problems where I have had the same problem with 4 completely new keyboards. Just get protection

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've sat between 5-15 away from the adapter and it works fine. Just make sure the USB adapter is within "sight" of the keyboard and mouse, otherwise they will cut out intermittently. It comes with a USB extender (about 2 ft).
