It does not seem to work as a wired keyboard at all, I guess the selling point is that you can connect three devices wirelessly and switch between them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does not connect via usb, it only charges via usb. I bought this keyboard thinking it would work via usb if plugged in with the included cable, like my Corsair wireless mouse, but no dice. Worse, the keyboard doesn't even show up as a bluetooth device. I will be returning this keyboard.

I too felt that I would still keep it plugged in all the time, but within two days of ownership, I found I love being unplugged much more. The battery life is excellent, you have multiple "low-batt" warning systems either by onscreen or the keyboard does it on it's own, and recharging is a snap anyway. Here are the specs: USB-C RECHARGEABLE MX Keys stays powered up to 10 days on a full charge – or up to 5 months with backlighting turned off. Use the USB-C charging cable to top up the power. Battery life may vary based on user and computing conditions
