Are the rechargeable batteries removable? null

no, they are built in and not replaceable. It charges really fast, I think a 15min charge will give you a few hours of use. but you can also use it while charging from USB-C so no downtime from work.

There is no battery hatch and no screws to remove a backplate so it would be safe to say they are not replaceable.

It does not look like there is a way for the user to open the keyboard to replace the battery.

Maybe with enough effort but they aren't meant to be user serviceable/replaceable. You must plug the keyboard in to recharge using the USB-C port.

I don't think so as it is a sealed system. You might be able to pull off the top piece but I don't want to try.
