Why ask this question on the Best Buy site for the product? Contact Logitech--the device is covered by warranty if you have only had it for 2 months (10 months based on when I am answering the question). Logitech has pretty good warranty service.

Also make sure to remove it completely from your PC and add it back again. last line of defense, contact Logitech directly. they will send you a replacement. they did that for me when I got problem with the infinite scroller. you need to send them a video of the mouse not working.
