• One Logitech unifying dongle is all that is needed. The unifying software allows you to connect 6 devices. I have one dongle for my desktop which links to mouse and keyboard and one for my laptop that links the same mouse and keyboard. If your keyboard is not Logitech, you may need two dongles (one for the other brand).

• I followed the instructions from McCoy999 from 2 years ago and it worked like a champ. The instructions at the link they provide is so dang easy. Had mouse and keyboard paired in less than 10 seconds.

• You will need to download the Logitech unifying receiver software and then you can connect it to your existing USB receiver as long as it’s a Logitech.

• I believe you need to download the Logitech app to program other devices, assuming your keyboard is compatible with the receiver.

• It will work with the same Logitech Unifying Receiver that connects your Logitech keyboard. It also works great without a receiver using the bluetooth interface. I haven't noticed a difference in connect time or responsiveness between Bluetooth and the Unifying Receiver with this mouse connected to my Macbook Pro.

• I'd suggest connecting everything via bluetooth so you have one or no dongles at all. The only situation where having a non Bluetooth dongle is helpful is when using for a PC that you want to get into BIOS during booth (before Bluetooth initializes).
