Since the keyboard connects to the iPad Air via Bluetooth, it does require charging (I use mine frequently and, although the battery has never drained, I still charge it every 2 weeks or so). If you didn't get a charge cable with it, you need to either return it and get one with a cable, or go to where you purchased it and request a charging cable for it, otherwise the keyboard will eventually stop working (mine came with the battery partially charged out of the box).

Please try again later.The cover comes with a USB charging cable that you can plug into any USB port available on your computer or existing USB charger you may have that allows you to plug in any USB cable. If you did not find the supplied cable, you can pick one up at any electronics outlet or even a cheap one from the Dollar Store. Just match the cable jack to the shape of the outlet on your keyboard. The cables are everywhere!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It comes with a short D-shape cord that plugs into any USB device (Apple charger and/or computer etc). It does require charging but the charge lasts for months and months and only takes under an hour (or less) to be recharged.

Depends how much you use it to determine when you need to charge it. Holds a charge for a long time. You should have received a charger in the box. If you did not receive one or tossed it by mistake, perhaps you can get one at the tech area.
