Does the keyboard have an on/off button? null

Yes it does. It also has a sleep function if you happen to stop using it and forget to shut it off.

I believe the button on the side represents on and off but it's not labeled as such. It could mean mute or something else. No instructions and I hate guessing which with my patience isn't good.

Yes. A slide switch next to the charge port.

The keyboard does have an on/off button which I did not realize until I had to ask the Geek Squad. There needs to be more directions given with the item purchased, as I would never have found it as it was not easily seen as small as it was.

Yes on the right side of keyboard theres a small switch

It's a switch on the side, flick of a button and it connects via Bluetooth. Click it on and off is to easy
