• the mouse emblem has a little star that shows that it is compatible with a unifying receiver. The shipped USB dongle is not a unifying receiver. So if you have another keyboard with a unifying receiver this mouse SHOULD be able to connect with it, if using the logitech software download. Setpoint? i think it's called.

• Check the battery cover location for the unifying receiver, usually its hidden inside there on most mice you purchase with Logi.

• The unifying receiver for the M330 should be stored in the bottom of the mouse, by the battery. If it's not there, it may be hiding in the packaging. If you can't find it in either one of those places, I would recommend exchanging it.
