“Can I use these with the audio-Technica LP160? I’m looking for some affordable and decent sounding speakers to connect to my turntable. I want a minimalist set up, so just the turntable and speakers, not a receiver or anything else.”

• Hi Regan, To answer your initial question: Yes! These would work with that turntable, as it has a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack. But, while I do think that these speakers are good for a work-desk scenario, If your main concern is media (of any kind), I would suggest Logitech Z213 Compact 2.1 Wired Speaker System. It's ten dollars more, has a mini-subwoofer, and may be better for the application.
