I have been able to connect to two monitors so far with Type C and the HDMI port provided. I also have used my ipad pro 12.9 as a 3rd monitor. I dont have any issues when running 3 monitors.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.According to Apple, this MacBook Pro supports up to 2 external displays “with up to 6K resolution at 60Hz” between the HDMI and Thunderbolt ports (though the HDMI port can only support a monitor @ 4K 60 Hz, so if you wanted to connect a 6K monitor, you’d need to use the USB-C ports). The M1 Max models can support up to 4 external displays between the HDMI and Thunderbolt ports (with up to 3 displays @ 6K 60 Hz and 1 @ 4K 60Hz, same limitations with the HDMI port). Look into DisplayLink software and DisplayLink supported docking stations for extra external monitor support on M1 family MacBooks.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My documentation states the 2021 MacBook Pro 14 can connect to two external monitors. It comes already with one HDMI port, but to get a second you would need to get some adapter to connect a monitor to one of the 3 Thunderbolt 4 ports.
