Q: QuestionI ordered this model with the 32GB of ram, hasn't arrived yet. Just wondering will this one be able to be upgraded to 64GB?

• A:Answer You cannot actually upgrade a machine you have to order it with the 64gb. This machine's internal components cannot be upgraded.

• A:Answer Most likely not as bestbuy usually tends to keep configurations that sell the most vs those that are higher end/custom orders. You will most likely have to go to apple or a different store.

• A:Answer At the moment, even the standard setup with “only 1TB” is hard to come by and on backorder! So, though special orders of 2, 3, & 4TB drives are possible, it’ll be a while in coming. Initially, I wanted a 2TB Drive, but when I saw that by adding it, I’d have to wait an extra month(!!!), I went for 1TB! On the plus side, that saved me $400, which I’m putting toward more cloud (which was already becoming a necessity), a few USB-C thumb drives (which I kinda needed to get anyway), and possibly another external drive. And that still leaves me with some of that $400 left! :-)

Q: Questionis this MacBook Pro 16 M1Max chip work good for music production : Logic Pro X, FL Studio, Ableton and editing 4k , 8K video :Final Cut Pro ? Does it gets overheat, overload for doing that or MacBook will run apps, program run slow. Thank you.

• A:Answer This computer is doing great. I am editing music and 4k video from my go pro. I found that the more memory the better. 32gb definitely better than 8gb or 16gb for multitasking. Not overheating at all. I have not been able to overload a video/music editor yet so I am not sure how far you have to push it to see any slow down. This is the most capable computer I have owned.

• A:Answer If you are asking about an opticsl drive for CD/DVD/Blu-ray discs, then no, there is no disc drive. If you are asking about a hard drive that is a spinning disc drive, then also no, they come with a Solid State Drive (SSD) for internal storage.

• A:Answer No, apparently not. I've got a late 2013 and mid 2015, and the chargers - while both the magnetic type- are configured differently from the Apple M1. The 2015does not fit into the charging slot on the late 2021 MacBook M1 Max.

• A:Answer No 10 core CPU in both the Pro and Max configurations The Pro = 16 core GPU (32GB RAM is the most you can add in the Pro version) The Max = 32 core GPU (64GB RAM is the most you can add in the Max, 32 is the entry level Max where 16 is the entry level Pro) Both have the same CPU - 8 performance cores and 2 efficiency cores.
