The Magic Keyboard comes with new Macs but it also works with old Macs, and with iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. It connects over Bluetooth, so you can pair it with anything and everything that supports that standard, but Apple's also made it pair instantly over Lightning with the Mac, making it faster and easier to get started than ever. You do need a new M1 or later apple chip for the sensor key to work.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will work. However, the Touch ID key will be unusable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, but not every feature (ie TOUCH ID). If you can, it would be worth it to just buy the older version- it'll save you money since you can utilize every feature on this keyboard unless you have an M1 mac.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has to be an Apple CPU that is compatible with TouchID. If you don’t have TouchID, there’s no reason to get this keyboard.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, if it has Apple M-something chip. Otherwise no.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.According to Apple, this keyboard is ONLY supported by Mac computers with an Apple M1 or newer chip.
