It's a separate. You need an amp to go with it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So, as GypsyFiddler has already said, as well as the Marantz Team, this unit is a preamp-processor, without any built-in amplification. To go into more detail, deciding on which amplifier(s) to pair with this unit will depend on how many speakers you have or plan to have in your home theater setup. If you want to max it out and power 13 total speakers, maybe get two 7-channel amps or, instead, a 2-channel amp with an 11-channel amp. The size and power requirements of your speakers will typically dictate the size and power capabilities (and price) of the amplifiers you buy. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a preamp, not a power amp.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Marantz AV8805A is a pre amplifier and is designed to be paired with an external amplifier like the Marantz MM8077. For an all in one option, please consider our Marantz SR8015 surround sound receiver.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not an omission. This unit is a pre-amplifier, not a receiver. It sends outputs to (a) separate power amplifier(s) or to powered speakers. Great unit though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a preamplifier. Preamp output is not measured in power (watts), rather it is in volts. This is a very complex device and requires some knowledge of how to configure it and connect it to a power amplifier, a device whose output is measured in watts.
