I didn't own the first version, but an online review stated these improvements in model 2: "New Bluetooth, upgraded battery life with quick charge option and IPX2 rating to protect the speaker from the water splashes are quite worth to be having."
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Kilburn II has Bluetooth 5.0 compared to the 4.0 on the Kilburn. It also has a shorter charging time 2.5 hours compared to 4, and a water-resistant design. It's also slightly larger and lighter than the Kilburn model and a longer playing time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Kilburn 2 is louder, is Bluetooth 5 versus 4, has a battery indicator, has a longer battery life per charge, is a bit more durable, is a bit larger and a bit lighter in weight. The Kilburn can be bought now for less money probably because it’s the first generation so it can be seen as more of a bargain. In overall sound, the Kilburn 2 is not only louder but multi-directional and can fill a room up with sound!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Kilburn II has had some upgrades when compared to the original Kilburn: the Kilburn II has design changes such as a solid metal grille, flush mounted corner caps and water-resistant design; the Kilburn II uses Bluetooth v5.0 aptX while the original Kilburn uses Bluetooth v4.0; the Kilburn II has Multi-Directional sound with the extra speaker on its back. Note that the Marshall Bluetooth App will only connect with the Acton II Bluetooth, Stanmore II Bluetooth and Woburn II Bluetooth speakers. It does not support the Kilburn II Bluetooth.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Kilburn two is the upgraded model. It's the next generation of the Kilburn one.
