I’ve done that before and it’s been just fine. I guess the only consideration would be if the cabinet is solid and not wobbly. Also note that the performance isn’t as good as if it’s in the open, but for my needs it’s been just fine.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You could but not advisable. The bass response will be trapped inside the cabinet and will not distribute throughout the room. Even if you open the cabinet doors the sound effect will be distorted. The nice thing about this particular sub-woofer is its size. Many are much larger.
