I have only had mine a few days, but I have not needed to rinse the plates before running the dishwasher. They have come out fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you are NOT supposed to rinse your dishes off, just scrape the food off into your garbage and put the dirty plates, cups, and bowls into the racks. It is amazing and your dishes come really clean. I use the Normal cycle, plus Extra Dry, and Sanitize, plus 4 hour delay so they are still warm in the machine when we get up for breakfast.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi DoctorBarbie. For the best cleaning results, we recommend scraping off the dishes as much as possible before loading them. After that, your Maytag® Dishwasher will do the rest.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I found dirty dishes with food dried on that had been stuffed away by family. All the dried food must be completely cleaned off before washing. Rinsing or getting off most of it will not suffice. If you leave a speck, it will still be there after the wash. I have the dishwasher for the sanitizing feature, so having to pre-wash dishes is frustrating but it does what I need it to. (Note: I’m having some problems with mine, so it might be defective, but it may just be unable to clean off dried-on food.)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.NO NO NO NO!!!!!!! It cleans very well without rinsing, but giving the plates a good scrape is recommended. Love how well this machine cleans with Cascade powder, not the expensive pods.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had this model for 2 weeks. If I did not remove all debris off completely, most of them will come off after wash with the exception of some "blind" spots I guess that the water spray may not be able to reach or not strong enough to remove it e.g. inside bottom of pans, top tip of large plate. Dried egg still stays on after wash.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I always rinse my plates prior to placing them in the dishwasher; however, my son, who lives with me, never rinses anything. The dishwasher does a decent job in removing the dried and caked on food from his dishes. I hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You absolutely do not need to pre rinse ! It is unbelievable..
