• Hello michelle! You can hold the start or pause button for three seconds. This will pause the unit and the door will unlock.

• Michelle, To manually unlock the door to add additional garments just push the “Hold to Start” button. To start the cycle again, push the same button and it will start back up where it left off. Hope that helped. We love this washer so far! Good luck finding the right one for you.
