A:AnswerPut the soap right in the tub with the laundry. If you use laundry packets, place them directly in too. If you use softener, use a self opening dispenser ball
A:AnswerWe newly purchased this model to replace a 40 year old Maytag that was still working well but was developing hose leaks. Makes different sounds, but less than the old one! Load it carefully as spin is fast, but very quiet.
A:AnswerBulk cycle would be used for bulky items, those that you can only fit one or two of before the drum is full. For example, blankets or comforters.
A:AnswerYes it does have hard rubber feet and has not moved in any cycle. If you were to over load the tub though it probably might move when spinning, I haven't tested that.
A:AnswerThe door hinge is on the top of the unit. The top lid opens from the front and stays open by itself if the top is opened 90 degrees. I believe it would open another 10 degrees however I have a cabinet above the washer so the lid does not open beyond 90 degrees at my home. The opened lid measures 58 inches from the floor.
A:AnswerHello jeanie! We are terribly sorry to hear about your concern. We would recommend contacting Maytag® at 800-344-1274. We are available We are available M - F 8 am to 6 pm est They will be better able to assist you.
A:AnswerThank you Maytag for providing the correct height with the top lid opened.
Now can you tell me why all washer manufacturers have an infatuation with making washers with the top lid open height being higher than 55 inches? Size does matter if it is too big.
I have a laundry chute above my washer, which requires me to find a washer under 55 inches with the top lid open. That is impossible to find today!
