How do you get this machine to start washing null

Press (hold) the start/pause button until the indicator bars advance all the way to the right, and then release the button.

You have to hold down the start button to start it. You should hear the lid lock and that is how you know it will start. I have thought I have started it and come back and it hadn't started so now I wait till I hear the lid lock.

You would need to hold the play button below the power button to start this Maytag® Washer. We hope this helps!
