MCCE is MODE for single track, random tracks one play or repeat. ESP is the anti skip function if the player is bumped the track continues to play. EQ is the sound desired: pop, jazz, rock, ect. PROG let's you program tracks in a specific sequence: 2, 4 ,5, 7, 3, 1, ect. I hope this answers the questions accurately.
