One of the things you have to be aware of, is if you buy Office 2016 Home/Student, it DOES NOT come with Outlook. You need either Office 365 subscription or the Office 2016 Home and Business which is much more costly. If you don't care about Outlook, there are a number of free programs compatible with Microsoft products that are free. Open Office is one that is quite nice and files are kept on your PC and many like Google Docs if you like to keep things in the cloud.
