• A:Answer Good luck with that! I was misled by a Best Buy "expert" at my local store that I needed to purchase the software again to load it onto a new laptop I purchased from them So, when I returned home I purchased the laptop and software on Best Buy's website. The software was 99.99, plus tax. Turns out my existing Microsoft 365 software on my old pc automatically uploaded to my new pc when I set it up, along with my existing files because the 365 was already part of my Microsoft account. So, I never downloaded, or activated the software I purchased with the new pc. I tried in vain for several hours to get someone on the phone that could help me with a refund, but only ended up on the overseas customer service carousel. Terrible service. I won't shop with Best Buy again. Best Buy is just another faceless company that pays these overseas "customer service reps" pennies on the dollar compared to what they would have to pay America-based reps. They don't care, they don't resolve issues.

• A:Answer There's no time limit, but it also doesn't include new versions (not even for 1 year), only security patches. So you can keep using it until you get tired of using outdated software. When you want new features you'll have to pay again. (In the past most people have be happy using the same version of Office for 6-7 years, however with all the work being done on AI proofreading and summarization, it might be desirable to upgrade more often this time around.)

• A:Answer You need your user name and password for your Microsoft Account. If you are a Best Buy Total Member, you can make an appointment to have Geek Squad install it for you at the counter (20-30min). This assumes you have a current office product that was purchased using your Microsoft account email. There will be a download link once logged in. If you are not a Best Buy Total member, each software install is $39.99 plus tax paid at the register prior to install (current as of 10/1/24).
