NO, that is a good question. Did you try drying out the mouse and trying it after some time? If you have bluetooth on your computer then the mouse will be individually connected and the keyboard will be connected the same way. I don't know if the damaged mouse can just be simple replaced and substituted with another wireless mouse. That "bluetooth USB thing" may have just lost it's soul mate. Hope this helped.
