They claim 17.5 hours. I have used mine for 3 hour stints and it drops to about 60% so I only estimate 10 hours, but I was doing some photo editing and CD burning. I would imagine longer for your described use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just basic usage you are looking at 15 hours. Brightness and performance also affect battery life and results may vary.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are two batteries, one in the tablet and one in the keyboard. Together you will get about 17 hours depending on screen brightness and what you are working on. With the tablet separated from the keyboard you will only get about 3 hours of battery life.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've been really impressed with the battery life I'm getting. In less demanding tasks, like browsing or code editing (probably similar to Office software as far as the power required). I'm getting over 12 hours with the factory battery settings.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't compare the two as I don't have both, but I will say battery life on the Book 3 is not the "17 hours" quoted by Microsoft. In my tests, I used it for Microsoft office applications, Paint Shop Pro photo editing, a small amount of video work, and watching some youtube movies, with the screen at about 60% brightness. Using it this way I got about 7 hours of use (give or take). I would suspect that ONLY using Office and browsing as you asked, would add a little more to that. Still, if you were to say, take this to work all day or using in school for a full day, it would not be a bad idea to take the charger.
