A:AnswerYes, the surface dock and the surface dock 2 are both compatible with the surface book 3. The surface dock doesn't have any USB-C ports and the surface dock 2 doesn't have any hdmi ports. I recommend figuring out which ports you want before getting. I have both and I are going with surface dock 2 and an additional dock with hdmi. It is a bit annoying.
A:AnswerYes, it should be, as long as your surface pro uses the current power port that all surfaces now use. I believe the 2017 surface pro model will be fine, I have an older surface (I think 2017), and it works fine with my dock
A:AnswerThanks for your question! For Surface Pro 4, you'll want the original Surface Dock. For more information, go here: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/microsoft-surface-dock-black/4561910.p?skuId=4561910
