The surface go and the surface pro are similar concepts targeted at different kinds of consumers. The Surface Go is meant to be an "everyday laptop/tablet". Alone, the surface go is a small, lightweight tablet perfect for browsing the web and watching netflix. With the extra keyboard attachment, the surface go can become and "everyday laptop, for typing word documents and having windows open side by side. The Surface Pro is meant to be a "professional laptop/tablet". If you want all the capability of the surface go but a larger screen and more processing/graphics power for photo/video editing, the Surface Pro will do more for you.

Since the Surface Go is designed to be more portable than ever before, the screen size is smaller than the Surface Pro at 10 inches. You will also find that the processor and memory of the Surface Go is less than the Surface Pro, so if you are planning on downloading any programs, just be sure to compare the specs of the device to the requirements of the program to ensure they will run. If you should ever find yourself needing more storage capacity, you can always use the USB port to add external storage, or store your files in OneDrive with your Microsoft account. We hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A lot and not a lot. The Surface Pro has the 7th Gen Intel Core CPU, and the Surface Go has the 4415Y Gold. Both are dual core quad threads, but the core CPU is a much faster CPU. The screen resolution is likewise much better on the Pro, and the Pro has way more ports and configuration options. Both are early 2017 tech, so unless you are pressed wait for the next Pro version, or better yet, if you are not locked into the Microsoft Echo system wait for the next series of Chromebooks/Windows tabs that will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 Cheza project or the Windows-based Snapdragon 850. Both will be wildly faster than anything out now, and the wait won't be that long. Look to IFA in September for the first tangible announcements.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Compare the two. Surface Pro is much powerful device with a larger screen but at the expense of size and weight. Look at the device in the store.
