Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other software are part of a software suite known as Microsoft Office. Microsoft now offers this as Microsoft Office 365 which is a subscription based license that allows you to access the software from the Cloud (so you can get to it from any computer) as well as have a limited number of copies of the programs installed locally on your computer(s) and everything is automatically kept in sync between your local computer(s) and the Cloud. The computer itself comes with a link to access a free trial version but you must sign up/purchase a subscription to Office 365 separately to license it. So in short, the answer is no, Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and many other programs that are part of Office) does not come with the purchase of the computer itself.
