“Does this laptop come with a word processor for creating documents? It says I can purchase a yearly subscription for Microsoft word ...? I have never had to pay yearly to be able to use word docs before. Please advise ASAP. Thank you”

Hi Lisa, Paying yearly for Microsoft Word unlocks the FULL version of the program. For basic writing purposes, Windows Laptops come with a stripped down version of Word, which should do fine for most people. The Microsoft Office 365 website as well as other sites like Google Docs have free word processing software that should get the job done. Hope this helps!

But you can also just purchase Office 2019, which is a one time payment. The difference is 365 updates automatically with new software when they release it. But you can choose either option. Either way, microsoft office software is sold separately from the laptop.
