Yes, you can use Slim Pen or Surface Pen on the screen

OK coming back around to answer my own question >> per ZachB on WindowsCentral NO suface pen function HOWEVER others are responding that a pen would work-ish same as a finger would work on capacitive screen, but "true" pen interaction and functions NOT available. This is different from earlier surface laptops which would allow full functional use of surface pen. in other words, this is one thing that the new laptop will NOT do that the old laptop would do... one of those things i reckon....
