• Touch screen monitors require a USB connection too. The touch feature doesn’t work via display cabling only.

• I have 2 different touchscreen monitors, and both use touch screen feature only through USB and not through HDMI.

• This cable will NOT include the touchscreen functionality for your touchscreen monitor. This cable only provides sound and video. Typically, a touchscreen monitor will require a USB plug to connect to your Surface or whatever computer you connect it to. The USB connection would provide the touchscreen functionality.
