- Answer The $899 and $999 models come with 4GB of RAM. The $1,299 and $1,499 models have 8GB, and the $1,799+ models come with 16GB RAM.

QuestionCan RAM be upgraded?On the Microsoft site, your able to customize it and upgrade it to 16GB, is that possible at Best Buy?

- Answer Ram is soldered into the motherboard so it would not be viable. Technically possible, but I would highly advise against it unless you feel comfortable taking the entire thing apart, and playing with a soldering gun.

- Answer Compared to the super high resolution of the Surface Pro 4, just about any older or low res monitor is going to look poor. Although do make sure you're at the "native" resolution for your external monitor. If not, it will look blurry. If it's fine, any modern display will technically work just fine. I always suggest checking them out in person and make sure it'll meet your needs.

- Answer This model exceeds the minimum requirements for running Quicken. If you have a digital download version of Quicken, you should be able to download it onto the Surface. If you have a disc version of Quicken, you may want to think about purchasing an external disc drive to connect to the Surface. If there may be times when you need to connect multiple USB accessories to the Surface, an external USB Hub might be a good idea, too.

- Answer I get 8hrs with some battery life to spare on a typical day of work that involves some excel sheet and windows doc action, VPN, some terminal windows for access to Unix machines, about 20+ browser windows, maybe one join.me screen share session lasting about 30mins utilizing the mike and speakers as well, a usb device that serves as the wireless adapter for my microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse, some virtual machines running 1 to 2Gb of memory each (within vmware), yeah about that much. Hope this helps!

- Answer Probably won't run Google PLay as that is only available on Android (as far as I know). You would need to download the games from the MIcrosoft Store if they are available, or purchase the PC version of the games if they are available, but i don't think Google Play is available on Windows (last I checked).

- Answer Yes. Speech recognition and dictation is available for Windows 10, which allows the Surface Pro 4 to write from voice. Search "speech recognition". Although it's built-in, software such as Dragon NaturallySpeaking Professional is more efficient.
